The World of Sugar Flowers Tribute to Peolpe Living with Cancer and Their Families- Collaboration

I had the honour and pride to be the organizer of this beautiful collaboration, along with Siobhan Buckley and Sally Mackintosh, as Administrators of The World of Sugar Flowers facebook group

We, as artists, collaborate for a wide variety of reasons, to share our work, for fun and most importantly to pay tribute. We pay tribute to our favourite shows and movies but there comes a time when one needs to reflect on the more serious side of life. Cancer in all its forms takes on average 8 million lives per year and I feel it is fair to assume that most people have had a loved one who suffered through this horrendous disease. For this collaboration we memorialize these loved ones in our flowers as a symbol of our love for them and their ordeal. It is a tribute to both those we have lost through cancer, those who live with it every day and those who have beaten it and of course not to forget the carers . We invite you all to view and enjoy the contributions and we would appreciate any feedback you would like to give. We would like to thank all those who have participated and contributed their pieces for this worthy cause.
