Carnival Cakers Collaboration 2017

I had the great plesure to be invited by Heba M Elalfy to be part of this beautiful collaboration. My piece was inspired in a exuberante cupper and green mask, with lots of flowers. I did my best trying to express all that beauty in my cake.

"To live in a world without diversity would be a great tragedy. I am so thankful that in our sugar art world we are able to come together and mix it up. What a great joy Facebook can be for this. I cherish the diversity of our Carnival Cakers, and to celebrate each and every one of you we created these images. I wanted to fuse together the image of our collaboration diversity with something that unifies us as well...hence my International Mixing Pot! It has all the country flags that represent our collaboration.

To further illustrate our diversity, and for those who enjoy maps, Heba created a world map that marks all 21 countries represented in this collaboration and identified each country with the Carnival Cakers logo."

Ninety-two international sugar artists from 21 countries have come together to celebrate the Venetian Carnival.
